A Wedding at Studio Altius!

Yes, that is right…in January, we not only photographed Elaine and Mark’s wedding, but in true Studio Altius Weddings “you get what you want” fashion, we also were the venue for their wedding ceremony! We were glad to be able to offer them our space, especially since it was a small wedding which we could accomodate in our art gallery. As we found out during their engagement shoot, this is a really fun couple which made for some great photo opportunities during the evening. Also, for those who frequent the Maplewood Arts District, where we are located, you might find a familiar face in one of the bridesmaids, Colleen Heine, the Executive Director of Folk School of St. Louis (just down the street from Studio Altius). This wedding was photographed by Amy, David, and Shawna (hey, if you show up to the studio on your wedding day, how can David not take some awesome studio shots for you!).

Lisa and Josh’s Wedding

On Lisa and Josh’s wedding day last fall at the gorgeous Innsbrook Resort, the colors of nature were perfectly coordinated with the one’s they chose for their special day. We got the privilege to follow along as the entire wedding party spent the day driving around the resort on golf carts and everyone had a blast! I (Shawna) had the pleasure of witnessing this beautiful ceremony along with our other photographers Amy and Daryl.

Trash the Dress…it is awesome! Matt & Mindy were so much fun and excited to try all of these fun shots! I (David) love to get these opportunities to work with our wedding couples. I normally have a crew of our wedding photographers cover the event of the wedding day and I photograph Bridal Portrait Sessions, Trash the Dress, and Engagement Photoshoots. Enjoy the view:

If you have checked out the archives on this blog, you by no doubt remember Luke and Alex, the gorgeous couple who were chiropractor students at Logan. Well, we did a studio bridal shoot with Alex at the end of November…here are a few highlights from a beautiful shoot. Alex was great to work with, we all had a fantastic time!
