Landscape and Nature Photography Workshop
Spend a day learning and shooting in beautiful surroundings with award-winning landscape and nature photographer, David McWhirter. This ten-hour workshop is packed with technical training, advice, and tips as well as demonstration and experience out in the field with an acclaimed photographer as your coach. Topics covered will include equipment, composition, lighting, digital post-processing, and shot conceptualization. The day starts at Studio Altius with teaching, discussion, and image critique; then a break for lunch (provided); then board vans to head out to the shooting location for in the field photography and teaching. Registration includes lunch and transportation to and from the photography site. The instructor is David McWhirter, award-winning and frequently published nature and landscape photographer. David also won the SEEN 2008 photography competition at Studio Altius. Fee: $200; please bring your camera, lenses, charged batteries with you, as well as comfortable clothing and gear for light hiking outdoors for several hours. Minimum 6, maximum 24 photographers.
